Halt entry doesn't shutdown pc

Bug Description
Binary package hint: grub
I added:
title Shut down
halt
to "/boot/
*** Expected behavior ***
When using it in GRUB my pc would shutdown.

The screen just turn black with a blinking command line mousepointer

The behavior you describe is the expected when using the halt command. It shuts down all software, but does not shutdown the computer hardware itself. Perhaps instead of "halt" you could use "shutdown -P now". Please see the "man shutdown" for details.
