Bug Description
Sep 20 09:03:47 ubuntu ubiquity: Failed to symbolic-link /boot/initrd.
message was present on a failed desktop preseed based installation for quantal desktop installations ( 20120920 both amd64 and i386)
There was also a message before the above one saying
'ubuntu ubiquity: Setting capabilities for gnome-keyring-
