qmon fails to start with X errors

Bug Description

Running qmon after installing gridengine-qmon on a fresh install of 12.04 LTS (x86_64) exits with this error:

Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-courier-medium-r-*--14-*-*-*-m-*-*-*" to type FontStruct
Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-courier-bold-r-*--14-*-*-*-m-*-*-*" to type FontStruct
Warning: Cannot convert string "-adobe-courier-medium-r-*--12-*-*-*-m-*-*-*" to type FontStruct
X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)
  Major opcode of failed request: 45 (X_OpenFont)
  Serial number of failed request: 330
  Current serial number in output stream: 341

The same error occurs on a 10.10 machine and an 11.04 that was upgraded to 12.04.

By the way, both xfonts-base and xfonts-75dpi are installed.

xlsfonts | grep adobe-courier shows:

This fixed the issue for me:

cd /usr/share/fonts/X11/100dpi/
sudo mkfontdir
xset fp+ /usr/share/fonts/X11/100dpi

To add the path permanently, add

FontPath /usr/share/fonts/X11/100dpi

to ~/.xinitrc

Seems like an installer problem in xfonts-100dpi to me?

@Michael Dorr's solution works for me, replacing 100dpi with 75dpi.
