google earth worked with old nvidia(pre lucid), not with "version current"

Bug Description
Binary package hint: googleearth-package
The embedded pictures in Googleearth will not open. I have two different machines, both have stopped being able to open the embedded pictures after upgrading to lucid, and now same problem in Meerkat. One machine has a Geforce 7900 gt and the other has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 240. My video cards seemed to work great before the upgrades?
