No images displayed in goldendict

Bug Description
No images at all are displayed in goldendict. Instead, empty boxes with a question mark inside are displayed.
This is a very serious issue because one of the great features of goldendict is its ability to query Wikipedia in whatever languages you want and having the results displayed together with the results of queries in other sources like wiktionary and dictd dictionaries. Not having the images from wikipedia displayed is a big loss for us who love this program.
I provide detailed information about this bug in Lucid and later releases, and a pointer to the fix.
The fix consisists in adding just three lines of code (well, in fact one, plus a line with comments plus a blank line). This is the link to the fix in the goldendict git repositories:

Sorry that I do not include an actual patch. I do not work with the source code of Ubuntu, but I hope that with the information I have provided it will be straightforward for you guys who deal with the code to make the change, check that it works and push this forward into a package update.
