Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnupg2
While trying to submit my first patch, using Ubuntu Netbook Remix (Karmic), the gpg passkey is required. Rather than requesting it in the terminal, a PinEntry window is opened. This window closes immediately. The terminal reads:
gpg: Invalid passphrase; please try again ...
You need a passphrase to unlock the secret key for
user: "Steve Holmes (eee key) <email address hidden>"
1024-bit DSA key, ID E679FC10, created 2010-02-24
The window opens and closes three times in all, then the build process fails.

I'm a bit surprised. reportbug shouldn't run gnupg2. Or did you run a different command?
You might further simply turn off the gnupg-agent in .gnupfg/gpg.conf. This is something Ubuntu enables even for gnupg 1.4 (for whatever reason, see https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ gnupg/+ bug/367163 for the bad impacts).
