gnome-vfs-daemon crashed just after adding two NFS mounts to /etc/fstab. Right after saving the modified fstab, apport reported the crash.

I am having the same problem, only difference was I was logging out from one profile into the next one when the crash occurred. Now I was in the KDE desktop in the first profile and was going into the second profile which is gnome desktop. I do ask one small question does this happen in the 32bit version too? Because I am running the 64bit version and it seems to crash more often that my other Linux 32bit version. I am running Xubuntu 7.04-Desktop-AMD64, I have attached the crash report.

It does happen on 32bit systems. I encountered the bug a while ago: Ubuntu 7.04 @ 32bit

Sorry for the double post - seems, i cant edit my former post.
Error happend on my system several times, after i have installed "KDE-desktop" - using synaptic.
I was still able to logon to gnome - yet it was partly unusable.
