Bug Description

Hi

I can't access my nokia 770 dropbear ssh server with nautilus, but I can from the cli. nautilus keep's asking for the 'user' account password. On the cli I can:

javier@turion:~$ ssh user@192.168.1.3
user@192.168.1.3's password:

BusyBox v1.01 (Debian 3:1.01-4.osso10) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

~ $

Thanks for your bug report. gnomevfs-ls ssh://<email address hidden>/home/daniel works nicely for me. Does that work for you? Which version of Ubuntu do you use?

Hi daniel!

I'm using dapper up to date.

I have another machine and I can ssh into it with both the cli client and nautilus, but on my nokia 770 I can't:

javier@turion:~$ gnomevfs-ls ssh://user@192.168.1.3/
Error opening: Acceso denegado
javier@turion:~$ ssh user@192.168.1.3
user@192.168.1.3's password:

BusyBox v1.01 (Debian 3:1.01-4.osso10) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

~ $ cd /
/ $ ls
bin dev home media proc srv usr
boot etc initrd mnt root sys var
cdrom floppy lib opt sbin tmp

how do I debug gnome's nautilus syscalls? If I launch strace nautilus I only get the starting output, once nautilus is loaded there's no more output.

I think the problems has to do with how nautilus is sending the password since it keeps asking for it until I get tired (so I assume it receiving a wrong password response from the server), but it's strange since I can ssh with the cli ssh client, so I'm a bit lost here...

That might be something similar to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=310681. Marking as unconfirmed, that would require somebody having a nokia 770 to debug it. Maybe you could forward it to bugzilla.gnome.org, they know the code better and maybe somebody there has a nokia and can work on it

This stills happens in feisty.
Also, I've installed new version of dropbear: v.049 and the issue remains.

Anyone with an n800 to try and fix this? I've upgraded my n770 with the hacker edition of the it2007 and installed lastest dropbear and the issue remains, so I assume this happens with any internet table

I have spotted the same bug in my installation. I use Gnome as installed with Ubuntu Gutsy (libgnomevfs2-0 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu3, libgnomevfs2-extra 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu3) and dropbear included in OpenWRT Kamikaze 7.09 (dropbear 0.50-2). It works with KDE and mc wrappers.
