I just had a look at the OBEX spec, and it seems that this mem-type attribute is not part of the standard.

In fact, the inclusion of this attribute in folder listings is the subject of one of Nokia's patent applications (http://www.freepatentsonline.com/20060095537.html), so it is probably not found on other manufacturers phones.
