Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-utils
There are five logs shown in my log viewer, auth.log, daemon.log, messages, syslog and Xorg.0.log. auth.log, daemon.log, messages and syslog have historical files such as syslog.0, syslog.1.gz, syslog.2.gz, etc. For auth.log, daemon.log and messages I can see more than the current date in both the calendar in the bottom left and in the log list. For syslog I only see the current date. I do have the files in /var/log and they have the same permissions as /var/log/syslog and /var/log/auth.log*.
I expected to see history entries for syslog. Thanks.
