Support snap channels

Please be sure to prepare an artful update for this. Also, to ease the SRU team's work, could you point to at which version has the same bug been fixed in bionic? (it's hard for us to look to that in package history when it's not connected to this particular bug number)

An upload of gnome-software to xenial-proposed has been rejected from the upload queue for the following reason: "Rejected due to various formalities. Please address the questions left on each of the bugs affected and re-upload. Thank you!".

Accepted gnome-software into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/3.20.5-0ubuntu0.16.04.10 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed.Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from verification-needed-xenial to verification-done-xenial. On a fully updated Xenial VM with -proposed enabled I can see channel information for VLC.

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-software - 3.20.5-0ubuntu0.16.04.10
