Bug Description
To reproduce this: Start a gnome-shell session, go to the Activities on the upper left hand corner of the screen. This opens up a "Type to search box at the top of the screen. Type any letter. It will appear twice. If you are looking for a program, for example, LTspice, the first two letters will repeat giving LLTspice, and it won't find the program until you backspace back until you have only L, then LTspice shows up.
Thanks for all the fixes you provide!
Rob
