Ubuntu 20.04 keyboard doesn't work in desktop

Hi, I can see that none of the keyboard keys works while I'm on the desktop.

I've to use my mouse to open (copy, paste, see properties) the file.

No, I think https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons/+bug/1855711 is not my issue.

I mean to say, the keyboard doesn't work particularly on the desktop icons. However, it works in Nautilus, terminal & other apps.

Yes that is bug 1855711 which requires fixes in multiple components. See also https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/ShellExtensions/desktop-icons/-/issues/31
