Not sure if this was the correct "corrupted double linked list" issue but if it is, it was happening under Wayland. Fresh install.

Hmm, problem:

is not being deduplicated accurately by the robots at errors.ubuntu.com.

5 hours ago the stack trace was in Mesa as mentioned above. And now it's something different.

So we must generalize this bug to match :S

I installed 4.16.17 kernel and ubuntu-proposed and I can still reproduce it consistently but now Xwayland crashes rather than gnome-shell. (Or at least that's what I gather from /var/crash)

But this might just be https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1731911 ?

All I need to do is to try to start Slack (from the snap) on Wayland.

Upgraded mesa and wayland with X-Updates PPA (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/ubuntu/updates) and problem is still present, and now gnome-shell made a crash again.

Posted it with apport but now sure how follow up on it (OOPS ID 7f6749c4-77e0-11e8-8b56-fa163e839e11)
