Use gnome-shell as a LightDM greeter

When I try to run GNOME Shell as a greeter the background doesn't render and the titlebar pixels start to bleed together. I get the same issue just running an X server on its own and running G-S in it.

We don't plan to do this for Ubuntu as we're using GDM [1]. Keeping open as it still would be desirable to do for those who do use LightDM and want to try GNOME.

Do you have a branch with wip code somewhere Robert? I might try take a
look Into this later when work calms down a bit
