Bug Description
There is no way to change keyboard layout in GNOME except by going to System Settings since no keyboard layout indicator is shown in Gnome Shell.

If this is the case, I propose to make it available at least in the GNOME3 PPA as soon as possible. Without doing that it would severely damage user experience, as using different languages is one of those bare basic tasks the user would expect even a Windows 95 capable computer to let him do. Not to mention that it would negatively impact the Ubuntu GNOME Remix edition which would fail to deliver a working GNOME 3.6 from the outset.
