Bug Description

One of the really nice things about the Ubuntu doc in Unity is that once a window sent a WM_URGENT signal, it was highlighted until you visited it. That made it easy to circle around when folks were trying to get you on IRC or the like without having to regularly poll.

Since the 17.10 upgrade on the Ubuntu Dock extension (which is working well otherwise), this is really missed, and I realized all week I was missing pings on IRC. Can this be fixed addressed in the ubuntu-dock?

Thank you for your bug report. Indeed that's a missing feature, note that if you use e.g hexchat as IRC client you can install hexchat-indicator and you would have a count-badge on the launchpad indicating the number of unread msgs which solves the need to poll issue as well
