Bug Description

I have a laptop with a touch screen that supports both finger and stylus operations.

Clicking on desktop icons works perfectly on both.

Drawing a selection box works when using the stylus but not when using a finger. Touch + drag is essentially a no-op.

I would expect both of these to work the same way.

desktop-icons-ng is actually a GTK app so I wonder; can you reproduce the same issue in a Nautilus window?

Caveat: desktop-icons-ng is GTK3 and Nautilus is GTK4.

No, the selection box works both with a finger and the stulys.

It has a different bug, where if you drag a box with your finger after a second it will pop up the context menu even if you are still moving your finger. This is an upstream issue that also happens on Fedora.

Sounds like it might have the same root cause as:
