I'm having the same problem on Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS.
gsd-xsettings is the reason my system is even fully filling the SWAP. Is there any possibility to debug this?

Same here. The memory usage grows and grows. Currently it's at 1,4 GB but yesterday I had about 3,4 GB.

This makes my Ubuntu installation hard to use after a day of use.

Is there any workaround for this? Any help or pointer would be appreciated.
