Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
When I lock the screen either by using the screensaver, locking manually, or returning from a hibernate, when the authentication dialog comes up, it doesn't unlock the screen when I enter my password. Instead, it just hangs on "Checking..." forever until I manually kill gnome-screensaver.

I'm also affected by this bug ! The only way I've found to work around this bug is to modify gnome-power-manager settings using gconf and untick options related to asking password after suspend or hibernation.
