Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

On a ThinkPad X220, the battery monitor usually fails to report the battery level after unplugging. Though the time remaining is reported, the meter shows with a red outline, as if it's completely out of power.
If the problem doesn't show up immediately after unplugging, try putting the machine to sleep and restarting. Then the problem should occur.

I can confirm this bug. I'd like to add, in case it helps, that the readings for battery energy seems to be off by a factor of 10. Please notice the "Energy when full" reading. I have seen that symptom in the "Energy" too.

Best regards.

As a side note, this behavior on the W520 Thinkpad is seen after suspending or hibernating only.

X220 6-cell battery, Ubuntu Oineric x64 and the same behavior.

# upower --dump
energy-full-design - is sometimes showing 58Wh or 64Wh or even 72Wh
The 6-cell battery should be 64Wh
