Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
With the option to turn black the screen when I close the lid of the laptop a error is created, because after opening it the screen remains black, and I have to suspend the machine with the fn+stand by combination of buttons to get the screen back.
I'm using Karmic.

I recall having this problem with my old (now dead) Inspiron 8100 back with Hardy Heron. The screen would just blank when I'd close the lid, but when I'd open it again, the screen would not kick back on, it would just remain black.
