Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

Specifically, Advanced Preferences, sections 6.1 & 6.2.

"By default, GNOME Power Manager supports a simple locking scheme.
This means that the screen will lock if set to "Lock screen" in
gnome-screensaver when the lid is closed, or the system performs a suspend or
      hibernate action.

There is a complex locking scheme available for power users that allows
locking policy to change for the lid, suspend and hibernate actions.
To enable this complex mode, you will have to disable the GConf key:"

So, everyone has a lid on their computer? :)

Should be changed to:

Hi Derek, thanks for the report. The manual for Gnome Power Manager is provided by the gnome-power-manager package, so reallocating accordingly. It would be very helpful if you could also report the bug upstream at bugzilla.gnome.org, where the Gnome Power Manager developers will see it.

affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) → gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)

Hello, thanks for the report - Matthew is right, the manual that you are referring to is included with the gnome-power-manager source, which comes from the upstream. This request should be send directly to the upstream authors at bugzilla.gnome.org or the project homepage [1], for forwarding instructions please have a look to http://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. Ok, I will do that. I am currently working on a redo of the xml help
file (for yelp) for gtkpod, and maybe g-p-m will let me re-do theirs. I
believe help files need to be up-to-date before Ubuntu can truly be
"ready for the desktop" and don't mind lending a hand.

Great! I think that they would really appreciate that. Perhaps you can
drop them an email on their mailing list:
