Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 with the Classic interface. I added clock-applet to my panel. I then clicked on the applet, then on Locations, then Edit, then locations, then Add. I entered my location (Los Alamos, New Mexico, United States) into the Location Name field and closed the dialog. Immediately afterwards, the applet quit unexpectedly. Reload didn't work. I had to select Don't Reload then manually re-add clock-applet to my panel.

My current hypothesis is that this crash happens only when I have a network proxy set. I recently ran the clock applet with no problems when connected to a hotel network, but when I established a VPN connection to work and specified my institution's internal network proxy, the clock applet suddenly crashed as described above. I hope that helps.

No triage at all? I would say that Scott is correct and that libproxy is busted.
