Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
I just upgraded to Hardy and my desktop "launcher" that used to launch my home directory now fails. Here's the ".desktop":
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=amanda
Type=Link
Icon[en_
Name[en_US]=amanda
URL=/home/amanda
Icon=/home/
GenericName[en_US]=
It worked fine in Gutsy. I was able to fix it by changing the URL to
URL=file:
(per https:/
But older desktop launchers shouldn't just breakdown in the upgrade.
Also, *if* the "create launcher" dialog is going to let you browse to a directory, it should prompt you to add the necessary "file://" to the URL.
