Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-applets
While default "Menu bar" gnome panel applet is very responsive to clicking,
the same is not true for "Main menu" applet.
Seems like "Menu bar" has always cached menu items and it displays menu immediately.
But in "Main menu" at least first click after login takes a while (or a long time on slower machines).
Subsequent clicks are handled much more quickly.
It would be nice to have "Main menu" applet as fast as "Menu bar"..
