Sound Preferences don't show that the output has changed

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

On Lucid

1) Plug a headset
2) Select it in the Sound preferences
3) Unplug the headset
4) Plug it again

RESULT : the sound is played in the headset, but when you look into the Sound Preferences the headset is not shown as selected !

EXPECTED RESULT : in the Sound Preferences the headset is shown as selected

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)
