Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-games
The "Mines" program can generate impossible puzzles. I don't know if it was designed to be this way, which this would not be a bug and can be ignored, but it is discouraging. I've included an attachment with a screenshot of an impossible solution I encountered.

I too noticed this problem. The solution of Minesweeper must be defined from the moment first click is made and must be solvable from given hints. The example you sited is definitely unsolvable without an element of luck.
