Bug Description

Tango flat and tango shaded are both much better looking than the plain block style.

I like the plain theme better than the tango themes. The theme seems to be selected on purpose, there is a patch in the package that explicitly sets the theme to plain. From the changelog:

gnome-games (1:2.27.2-0ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

it was changed because of bug 138586; you can always change it back to tango if you want to though. low priority bug.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.

Gnometris has been removed from lucid from default games

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.

Also the same in Maverick quadrapassel (new name) version 2.31.3-0ubuntu1 - had a look in our source at debian/patches/80_change_tetris_theme.patch and there may be a reason for the change:
- <default>tangoshaded</default>
+ <default>plain</default>
in line 1 it says "Description: Use plain tetris theme by default as tangoshaded runs slow"
It's unlikely this will be changed if speed is still an issue.
