Bug Description
[Problem]
A status throbber shows up in certain circumstances when unmounting a cdrom, that indicates it is writing to the device, when the device in question is read-only.
[Discussion]
In looking at a series of CDs, inserting and ejecting each in turn, once and a while (seems like 5-10% of the time), it will briefly display a status widget that indicates it is writing to the device. This is not correct because the CD is read-only (indeed the drive is just a CDROM, no write abilities at all).

Fwiw, this seems to be more likely to happen after bug 419773 has happened; perhaps they're related.
