Bug Description

Hi,

I am a novice Linux user playing around with Ubuntu. I first installed 14.04 and then upgraded to 14.10 but have observed the same problem with gnome-contacts on both. I added Google to my online accounts list and it seemed to work. I launched gnome-contacts ("Contacts" on Ubuntu) and it opened a window with two buttons: "Online Accounts" or "Use Local Address Book". Of course I want to use my online accounts. But no matter how much I click this button nothing happens. The button is responsive--it depresses/shades when I click it. But then nothing happens.

Clicking "Use Local Address Book" does work. But of course that doesn't get me to my Google contact list. What tests can I perform to further diagnose this problem?
