Bug Description

There are in the system monitor applet a possibility to show a network activity graph.
When I m downloading a big file (from repositary ubuntu.com), the graph is descending to 0 and after up to max and descending to zero...
See a image to understand.

I don't thinks that this is a good graph. I think it may be "constant"... there is a bug like "-1"

Here is a small screenshot where you can compare a gnome-system-monitor and gnome-applets.

gnome-system-monitor show a graph correctly.
gnome-applets decrement and after up to max and decrement...

I m using a 2 second to refreshing my graph.

I can open a bug on bugzilla.gnome.org.
Mouse over a graph does nothing.

Are you able to reproduice this bug?

it's not trivial to compare graphs since they don't have the same timescale but the bug is not obvious to me no

I'm experiencing the same issue on Jaunty (it works in Intrepid).

gome-system-monitor correctly displays the network usage , the system monitor applet not!

I've noticed that the flavor of net monitor in the applet has changed to yellow since Jaunty, but I don't think the issue is related to the color... ;-)
