Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-alsamixer

Gnome alsa mixer loads a blank interface, and when going in to the "Edit -> Sound Card Properties" it crashes with the following output in terminal:

$ gnome-alsamixer

(gnome-alsamixer:4198): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_instance_get_private: assertion `instance != NULL && instance->g_class != NULL' failed
Segmentation fault

This seemed to happen recently after some updates, as the program was working fine under Ubuntu 10.10 Previously.

after some recent Updates the issue seems resolved.
