xfdesktop crashes on bootup

Bug Description
On boot-up desktop flashes on then I get a gray screen. No commands on the desktop can be seen since the entire desktop is gray except for the top bar. When you click on the App Launcher additional errors show up in dmesg.
Upon startup xfdesktop shows these errors in dmesg.
