Bug Description

Whe running an application fully maximixed and then choosing Synaptic from the menu, it runs but displays behind the maximixed window. This is incredibly annoying and very confusing to new users who can't find the app they just executed.

This also happnes with many preference windows and Network configuration".

Try running Firefox or Evolution maximized. Bad news.

That is odd, running gnome-terminal while a maximized window will appear on top, but synaptic will appear on bottom...

This is a problem of gksu. Synaptic is launched by gksu to gain administrative rights. It fails to give the focus to the new window.
