Bug Description

Binary package hint: gksu

When an app that uses gksu hasn't been run for a while (Update Manager, Package Manager, etc), if you enter the incorrect password the screen is not updated properly (screenshot included). I have also recreated this problem by using gksu by itself with a random command ('ls').

Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release: 8.04

gksu:
  Installed: 2.0.0-5ubuntu1
  Candidate: 2.0.0-5ubuntu1
  Version table:

I forgot to add that after the first time the problem happens subsequent invalid passwords will not cause the problem, even if a new instance of gksu is run. I don't have an exact length of time between runs in order to recreate the problem but it is greater than one hour.

Could this be a duplicate of bug #229490?

This symptom is only relevant if compiz is not active.

Changed in gksu:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Confirmed
