Bug Description
I suggest you downgrade geeqie back to version 1.3. Version 1.4 omits quite a few settings in the preferences that have been included with geeqie for a long time.
Preferences/Image no longer has
"When new image is selected
o Leave Zoom at previous setting
o Scroll to top left corner
o Keep the region from previous image
I have "Fit window to image" turned on under Preferences/
With the tools floating, the images always open as tiny postage stamps. Hitting the "1" to resize the image does cause the resize to happen, but the window remains tiny, focused on a very small part of the larger image. The "1" key has to be hit again to force the window resize.
Now, because the display of the images is not adjustable, it seems to randomly focus on sections of each successive image.
"Preferences/Image no longer has
"When new image is selected"
These settings are now in the Zoom button on the status bar - that makes it quicker to change them.
"the images always open as tiny postage stamps"
There was a bug that resulted in some windows opening at minimum size. That is fixed in the latest commits in the repository at geeqie.org.
