geeqie crahes on start (seg fault)

Bug Description

starting geeqie shortly shows up a window that looks like geeqie, then the application immediately crashes. When starting the application in a terminal a segmentation fault is reported with no additional information.

Same here, output is:

$ geeqie
Could not init LIRC support
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

This seems to have something to do with 'unity-lens-photos'. I don't know the exact reason, but

     sudo apt-get remove unity-lens-photos

solved the problem for me. Now, Geeqie is starting without seg faults again.

Quantal, up to date.

Same for me with geeqie 1.0 (1:1.0-10build1) on quantal. Removing unity-lens-photos (0.6-ubuntu4) made it work. I ran it in gdb and had the following:
