Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
"Hibernate" is missing in the gdm system compared against the corresponding menu in the Gnome indicator-applet.
gdm lists the following entries in french (fr_FR.utf8):
- "Suspendre" (Suspend): does not means in this context (bad translation) but this is not what this bug is about
- "Redémarer" (Restart)
- "Éteindre" (Shutdown)
indicator-applet has the following entries :
- "Mettre en veille" (Suspend)
- "Hiberner" (Hibernate)
- "Redémarer..." (Restart)
- "Éteindre..." (Shutdown)
The consequence is that when the computer is locked by one user, someone else can not hibernate (for example to move the computer to another place) unless she login. But she can shutdown the computer and destroy the session.
