Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
The "Disable Touchpad While Typing" option works really well for me during Gnome sessions, however, it would be nice if this setting would be available at GDM login time. Currently, whenever I try to type my password in GDM the overly sensitive MacBook Pro touchpad reacts to my hovering thumbs and thus steals the focus from the password prompt. As you can imagine, this is getting old really quick. :)

This is not really related to the synaptics driver. The problem is that the gnome-settings- daemon is executed only after you log in.
