Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
The option comboboxes on the bottom panel have a frame that prevents their activation when clicked on the screen edge. It's easy to overshoot with the mouse and reach the screen edge (Fitts' law), and clicking there won't open the menu. In contrast, the button with the downward arrow works when clicked on the screen edge.
Setting the has-frame property of the combobox fixes this. It does change the appearance though.
I'll attach a simple patch that does this and a screenshot.
gdm 2.28.0-0ubuntu6, Ubuntu karmic
