Cloud platforms evolve at a rate that can't be handled in six-month increments, and they will often develop features that they would like to be available to customers who don't want to upgrade from earlier Ubuntu releases. As such, updating gce-compute-

The diff b/w what we have in the archive v/s what we want to update to is trivial - https:/ /github. com/GoogleCloud Platform/ guest-configs/ compare/ 20230403. 00...20230808. 00.
Looking at it closely, I really don't think this needs an FFe. But I'll swing this by the release team if they feel differently.
Also, even if there's a need of an FFe, I think this should be straightforward. Though the package is in main, it has a very narrow impact, and the changes look simple enough to not cause havoc. :)
