Bug Description
Binary package hint: gcalctool
Follow the following steps to reproduce this bug:
1.Make sure the view is on scientific display mode
2. Type in the number 1.005^1701010.
3. Move the editing cursor to the position after the 7
4. Hold down the delete key on the keyboard.
5. Observe the first few characters right of the 7 are deleted, but after at the moment the decimal point is about to be deleted, the calculator application hangs.

I can reproduce bug with the exact same configuration.
