wrong results - negative numbers raised to power of two

Bug Description

type into the calculator

Expected result: 1

Received result: -1

The bug applies to all negative numbers raised to any even number.
The bug is also present in Ubuntu 14.04

Workaround:
1.) put negativ number in parantheses (-1)^2 = 1
2.) insert the power argument with the <ctrl> key pressed like: -3<ctrl>8
3.) in scientific or programming mode use the (n↑) button.
