Bug Description

Hi,
  I fresh installed this machine with 32bit 12.04 (with mate-desktop added on), and flash 11.2.202.0 installed via either flashplugin-installer, or adobe-flashplugin crashes on any use; e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18312298 in firefox - it doesn't even show a grey box, a crash or even anything saying that flash is missing. Chrome also states the plugin has crashed.

It does show in about:plugins
Every use creates an entry in Crash Reports
In the firefox 'Error console' I see:
Timestamp: 03/06/12 15:00:01
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Failure" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ER
ROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: http://static.bbci.co.uk/frameworks/swfobj
ect/0.1.3/sharedmodules/swfobject-2.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 204" data: no]

Switching to 11_1r102_62_32bit_debug (from the tar on adobe's website) fixes it

This could be:

a nasty SSE instruction appears to have crept in there, which I suspect my Athlon is too old to run.
