Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
Initially (after I installed Lucid) my memory usage was very high (1.1GB on login to GNOME without any apps open). I am using fglrx, but am not using Compiz. The memory usage remained constant for the most part though. I was concerned with the size of the used memory and couldn't figure out what is using it. After the latest set of updates (a couple of days ago) memory usage dropped to pre-Lucid levels (about 400MB on login). But now I've noticed that memory usage keeps going up and up ever so slightly. In about 2 days of moderate use system is using about 400MB of RAM more than at the beginning. Since I've heard that there are problems with memory leaks in xorg with ATI driver I am assuming this is related but I don't really know for sure.
