One seems unable to tell the difference between fglrx and fglrx-updates.

fglrx:

Version: 2:8.872-0ubuntu1
Description: Video driver for the AMD graphics accelerators
 Video driver for the AMD Radeon and FireGL graphics accelerators.
 .
 This package provides 2D display drivers
 and hardware accelerated OpenGL.

fglrx-updates:

Version: 2:8.872-0ubuntu1
Description: Video driver for the AMD graphics accelerators
 Video driver for the AMD Radeon and FireGL graphics accelerators.
 .
 This package provides 2D display drivers
 and hardware accelerated OpenGL.

Really, what is the difference? Is fglrx-updates be updated with new driver releases after Ubuntu version got pushed out?

Please see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-common/+bug/873058 -- fglrx-updates fails to install under latest oneiric.

jockey-common and fglrx-updates appear to disagree on the expected name of the module via /usr/share/jockey/handlers/fglrx.py in jockey-common. How can we get the maintainers of these two packages to agree on an interface?
