the audio when playing nes games is choppy, i think this is a problem with
audio in sdl...

i'm pretty sure it has something do with sdl and pulseaudio
fceux has flawless audio on my OSSv4 box, but I can't get it to sound clear with pulseaudio+alsa.
i've looked at the code for a while, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it.
one thing to make sure that fceux's sample rate is the same as the default for your soundcard, but i've just had a lot of problems with pulse+sdl in general
