[Maverick] F-Spot shows no thumbnails, crashes on picture view if image paths contain non-latin characters

Bug Description

Binary package hint: f-spot

After the update from Lucid to Maverick (which otherwise ran perfectly) I get a crash of F-Spot (f-spot 0.8.0-1 from the official repositories).

When starting F-Spot no thumbnails are shown in the main window, just something like a table where the thumbnails should be.

When double clicking one of the non-existing thumbnails, there is a short moment when you can see the big picture but after that F-Spot crashes.

I have this bug too. As i can see, this bug called cyrillic character of Photo folder.

UTF-8 but non-latin characters(ru_RU.UTF8 locale)
