Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Whenever I open a html e-mail from my IMAP server evolution crashes. Atleast that's the common thing that I could find, and it does this every time. Regular emails that doesn't use html works fine.

Ubuntu release:
Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04

Evolution package version:2.22.3.1-0ubuntu1

I have attached several log files. I don't know if they contain any sensitive information, so please delete the attached file when it has been downloaded, thank you.

thanks for the report, the trace you submitted is missing a lot of symbols, please install the following packages: libcamel1.2-13-dbgsym, evolution-data-server-dbgsym, evolution-dbgsym, libglib2.0-0-dbgsym, libgtk2.0-0-dbgsym and get a new trace as described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash ; thanks.

Thank you for responding so soon.

I have tried to install the packages that you listed, but I had some problems.

These packages installed fine:
evolution-data-server-dbgsym
evolution-dbgsym
libgtk2.0-0-dbgsym

But I could not install "libcamel1.2-13-dbgsym". It is not listed in the repositories that I use and the version of libcamel that I have installed is libcamel1.2-11 and I successfully installed libcamel1.2-11-dbgsym.

The libglib2.0-0-dbgsym package could not be installed either, It gave the following error message:
"Depends: libglib2.0-0 (=2.16.4-0ubuntu3) but 2.16.4-0ubuntu2 is to be installed"

Maybe these dependencies problems is the source of my problem?

I have attached new log files. Just let me know if you need me to take additional steps and produce new log files. I have also attached my sources.list file, in case I have made some mistake there while adding the debug repositories?

Thank you for your support in this.

I don't know if it's relevant, but I just did a fresh installation of Ubuntu 8.04 on another computer and I got the exact same problem. I then applied all available updates using the default repositories and the problem still persists.
